Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promoting a positive relationship with the client by ensuring excellent and timely customer service and in conjunction with other departments and third parties. Extended but not limited to our internal customers, supporting Corporate Initiatives among overseas branches.
  • Receive, review, and process high-volume and/or complex import and export transactions for client(s), including booking, documentation, and billing.
  • Ensure shipments of hazardous materials are checked and processed in accordance with all applicable regulations under the International Air Transport Association and, Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Process data through the Company’s system and submit shipment information to various government agencies as required.
  • Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure, arrival, and delivery of freight; enter milestone data.
  • Processing data through our freight management system and obtaining bank releases and other government agency releases as appropriate.
  • Export as need it. Including, process bills of lading for outgoing shipments
  • Attending and reviewing with your direct supervision or manager our KPIs
  • Processing arrival notices for incoming shipments.
  • Communicating with customs brokers and logistics providers to resolve any potential issues or delays.
  • Besides our pricing team participation, our operations coordinator may create quotations for individual shipments or one-time shipments, including estimating prices for the shipper, selecting transportation companies to use and negotiating competitive rates.
  • Obtain proper approval and releases from customers, as well as signed proof of delivery when applicable.
  • Audit, pay, and record freight, duty, and other miscellaneous bills pertaining to shipments processed within 48 hours of receipt.

 

 

Requisitos:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • 1 year of experience in air and ocean cargo import and export within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise’s Enterprise system a plus.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
